Our little lady is 3 months old!

It's so fun to see your little one discover new things in the world around them. Luce has recently discovered her hands. She also has discovered my hands and loves to play with them/chew on them. She LOVES to talk (in her language of course). She's been testing out her vocal abilities for the past few weeks, it's pretty dang funny. She laughed for her first time (Aug. 18), which completely melted my heart. She also got sooo close to rolling over. I have videos I want to post but I'm having "technical difficulties" so I'll try again later.
She caught her first cold this past week, poor little bug. I felt so bad for her, especially because I was the one that gave it to her! We're both on the recovering end of our colds now so life is looking a lot better this week. And she is still most definitely the drool queen.
She's got a strong little neck so we've been able to put her in her little bebe pod chair and bjorn and she is diggin both of them.

As you can see, she is still our little baldy. There is quite a bit more peach fuzz sprouting on her head lately so we might see some hair soon!

This is her favorite thing to play with while I change her, a gDiaper package. Who needs toys? We love these little gDiapers and are so happy her little bum finally fits them. These are worthy of a separate post (coming soon!).



Speaking of toys, she loves this little bird hanging from her car seat handle. She'll coo and talk to him all the time. They're good friends.

The land of chocolate...

You know when you're driving down the street with your window rolled down and the sweet aroma of chocolate tickles your nose, you are most definitely in Hershey, Pennsylvania, aka the Banburys new state of residence!!! Woot woot! Yes, we are now official Pennsylvanians. It feels good...weird, but good. It was strange to move to a place where we knew NOBODY and NOTHING was familiar to us. I knew once I saw a certain street sign right by our house that it was a "sign" we were supposed to be here...LUCY AVENUE. How sweet is that? Do you want to know what else is sweet? These cute little Hershey Kiss street lamps they have lining Chocolate Avenue.

Oh, and did I mention that we love it here?! This town is seriously awesome, I can't wait to show it any of you who stop in for a visit(please do!). A big thanks to my mom for flying out with me & keeping me calm during the flight. I was so nervous that Luce would have a melt down on the plane but she was a little angel. She slept almost the whole flight! Yeah girl!

I was a bit nervous about seeing the apartment for the first time because I just had to go by Trey's judgement. We're in the student housing so all I pictured was a teeny-tiny apartment with white cinder block walls, quite reminiscent of my dorm my freshman year(holla Crapsatch!). I'm happy to tell you that I love our place. It's bigger than I thought it would be and it has more storage space than what I thought. They were just remodeled a year or two ago so they look like no one has lived here. My favorite part is the brand new front loader washing machine and dryer! They are awesome, I'm already hooked. I'll post some pics of "the crib" when we have it looking the way we want it...yeah, we have yet to put anything on the walls...hanging pictures isn't exactly #1 on our priority list.

Trey has been studying like crazy! I'm not gonna lie, it's been hard adjusting to being a med student's wife. I really do feel like a single mom most of the time, it's kind of sad. Trey said after his anatomy course is over that the workload should slow down so me and Lucy are looking forward to that so we can see him a little more. He had his first big test today...7 hours long...can you believe that? It's like the MCAT all over again!

The ward out here is great. There are a ton of med students & residents out here. The primary is HUGE. They have 3 different nursery classes. Lucy is going to have lots of friends to play with, I'm excited about that. A lot of the med students live on campus so all the wives usually congregate out by the playground in the day so whenever I get bored I go chit chat with them. Most of their hubbys are in their 3rd or 4th years so they're at a different stage than I am, but they've been so nice and are always inviting me to do stuff with them. They also have tons of great advice.

Before we moved out here, my SIL Nicole told me about how people outside of Utah get so excited when they see babies and I can definitely attest to that now. It's so funny to me because in Utah it's like no big deal because babies are everywhere. Out here there really aren't that many. It's fun taking Lucy places because everyone will stop and talk to her (especially at the grocery store) and just ooh and ahh over her. And tons of people will rubber neck as we walk by because they want to sneak a peek of the baby. We were at Chocolate World and this boy who looked like he was about 10 years old came up to us and said "Cute baby!". It made me laugh to hear a young boy say that. Lucy is practically a celebrity out here. :)

Okay that's enough blarbing for now, I'm off to bed!

So long, farewell...

I am not very good at saying goodbye...probably because I hate it, especially when I know that I might not see the person/people for a very long time. It hurts my heart. So I usually try to avoid it when I can. We had to say quite a few goodbyes when we left Logan and it was sad.

We said goodbye to Steve, the best landlord we ever could have asked for. I will miss him & his awesome "do" rags, as you can see in the picture below.

The last few nights in our house were sweltering because we had no AC so Luce slept in her tank top onesy...and yes she really fell asleep like that. I guess it's a good position to stay cool.

We had a final hoorah the night before we moved with a bunch of our friends. Of course we had to go to Charlies (our favorite Logan spot) for ice cream and then back to our house for some sparkler & firework action. Oh how I miss our friends already.

And here we are in front of the the house that we've lived in the past 3 years (our whole marriage!). We were in the upstairs apartment for the first 8 months or so and then we moved to the main level and lived there for 2 years and 4 months. We made so many GREAT memories in that house. It was also conveniently placed right across the street from Joanns...I miss that.

And so begins a new chapter in our lives...

It's ALIVE!

Our computer has been resurrected from the dead by Trey's fellow classmate! Bless that boy! Our payment to him for his kind service will be in food form, most likely chocolate chip cookies. We have been trying to use our super slow, ghetto-fab laptop while our compy was on the fritz and it just wasn't working out so well for us. Compy was only out of service for a week but it felt like FOR-EV-ER. I know it is quite sad but this is my entertainment when Lucy is snoozin' away so lay off! :P
So that put me another week behind so I have to play more catch-up. Ugh. Not a huge fan. I usually end up skimming through past events because I like to blog about what's happening now so just warning you, the next few posts will more than likely be brief and boring.
With that said, I have one more thing I wanted to add...

Catch Up Part 2 - Brenchley "Jamboree" in Heber

The weekend after the Banbury trip we went on the Brenchley family trip to a 'cabin' in Heber. Here is a picture of it from behind...HUGE!

It was great because it held all of my family, which says a lot because I have quite a large familia. I wish I would have taken more pictures but we had a great time playing games (a favorite Brenchley family pastime...especially Outburst :)), eating lots of yummy food, shopping at the outlets, golfing, chatting, laughing, and enjoying the clean mountain air.

I didn't get a copy of the pic of the whole fam but here is the grandparents with all the grandkids. These pictures always crack me up because there is always something funny going on with one of the kid's faces.

Catch Up Part 1 - Snake River Trip

I'm going to hurry and catch you up on July since we were a wee bit busy and didn't get around to posting much of our last few weeks in Utah.
So the weekend after Lucy's blessing we went on the annual Banbury River Trip to the Snake Riv. I was wondering how much fun it was going to be with a newborn but it ended up being quite pleasant. I even made it down the river once and experienced the wrath of Lunch Counter this year. It was freakin' ginormo! Luckily I didn't have to paddle so I wedged myself in the middle of the boat to protect myself. The water was super cold this year!
Lucy was quite the little camper. She slept a full 8 hours at night for her first time! I think she was made to be our little granola girl.

In memory of the King of Pop...

For my first "catch up" post, I would like to share Lucy's victory dance that she performed when we finally arrived to our new apartment at 2am in the morning. She was acting so funny, must have been the airplane ride.
I just had to post this...her moves are quite reminiscent of Michael Jackson!

Guess what friends, we made it to Hershey! And we love it out here!! I can't believe how green it is...and how humid it is! I've pretty much adjusted to the humidity now so I don't feel it anymore, but my hair and Trey's hair sure does. His is super curly now, he's thinking it might be time for a hair cut. And I'll probably be wearing mine in a pony tail for the next 4 years. :)
We found an awesome grocery store that makes Smiths look like the ghetto, and it's cheaper too! We heart Giant and their store brand is just as good as Kroger, if not better! It's been fun getting acquainted with the town of Hershey & all the different businesses they have out here. I'm happy to say there is a Target & Costco about 15 minutes away, which is a dream come true!
Just wanted to check in and let you know we are all alive and well and happy! We're slowly chipping away at the unpacking and decorating, maybe i'll post some pics when it's all put together. Lucy rocked the plane ride here, she slept most of the time which was a huge relief! She's such a good little girl. When we get our internet set up I'll do some catch up posts of us saying goodbye to Utah. Ta ta!!
