Catch Up Part 1 - Snake River Trip

I'm going to hurry and catch you up on July since we were a wee bit busy and didn't get around to posting much of our last few weeks in Utah.
So the weekend after Lucy's blessing we went on the annual Banbury River Trip to the Snake Riv. I was wondering how much fun it was going to be with a newborn but it ended up being quite pleasant. I even made it down the river once and experienced the wrath of Lunch Counter this year. It was freakin' ginormo! Luckily I didn't have to paddle so I wedged myself in the middle of the boat to protect myself. The water was super cold this year!
Lucy was quite the little camper. She slept a full 8 hours at night for her first time! I think she was made to be our little granola girl.

All strapped in the carseat and ready to roll
Trey & Lulu hanging out in the trailer. That's where Lu hung out most of the time to keep her out of the buggies and the sun.
Trey's bro Matt and Dylan's awesome head of hair...doesn't the background look like a painting?

Our charming little campsite

Our funny little girl, who totally looks like a boy in this pic. Sorry Luce, you have a mom who likes colors besides pink & purple.

Just snoozing away

That green bow is quite becoming on him, don't you think?

In memory of the King of Pop...

For my first "catch up" post, I would like to share Lucy's victory dance that she performed when we finally arrived to our new apartment at 2am in the morning. She was acting so funny, must have been the airplane ride.
I just had to post this...her moves are quite reminiscent of Michael Jackson!

Yep, that's my girl!

Moved in...check...unpacked...we're working on it :)

Guess what friends, we made it to Hershey! And we love it out here!! I can't believe how green it is...and how humid it is! I've pretty much adjusted to the humidity now so I don't feel it anymore, but my hair and Trey's hair sure does. His is super curly now, he's thinking it might be time for a hair cut. And I'll probably be wearing mine in a pony tail for the next 4 years. :)
We found an awesome grocery store that makes Smiths look like the ghetto, and it's cheaper too! We heart Giant and their store brand is just as good as Kroger, if not better! It's been fun getting acquainted with the town of Hershey & all the different businesses they have out here. I'm happy to say there is a Target & Costco about 15 minutes away, which is a dream come true!
Just wanted to check in and let you know we are all alive and well and happy! We're slowly chipping away at the unpacking and decorating, maybe i'll post some pics when it's all put together. Lucy rocked the plane ride here, she slept most of the time which was a huge relief! She's such a good little girl. When we get our internet set up I'll do some catch up posts of us saying goodbye to Utah. Ta ta!!

We are moving??

It still doesn't quite seem real to me. I've said goodbye to so many people already but it just hasn't set in. It will probably set in tomorrow when I'm on the plane...or maybe when I arrive at our humble abode in the foreign land of Pennsylvania and all my stuff is there...strange!!! I just talked to Trey on the phone and they are about an hour and a half away from Hershey! Yowza!

I've been having a bit of fun staying at my parents house with little Luce for the past few days. I do feel like a single mom though, it's a bit odd. My friend Hil always has the cutest pictures of her little boy on her blog so I asked her to come over and take some cute shots of Lucy today, just for kicks. They turned out soo cute! Thanks again Hil! Here are some of my favorite pics from the photoshoot...

Oh the many faces of Lucy.

Here are her 2 month stats:

Weight: 9 lbs 10 oz...still a little weeblit

Height: 22 1/4 inches long

She loves to blow bubbles, interlock her fingers in prayer position, kick like there is no tomorrow, make all sorts of noises and faces, smile, drool, suck mom's thumb, and look at books (especially the Fairy Bear book at Grandma Brenchley's house...it's kind of a strange book but whatever works.) She also loves being outside and bathtime.

I'm just going to apologize now...

I'm afraid that there will be a period of silence on the blog during the moving craziness that will be happening during the next few weeks. Juggling a 6-week-old and packing up stuff doesn't give us time to do much else. Just know that it won't last forever and I'll save up all the pictures and do some catch up posts when we get all moved in and settled in Hershey.

Lucy was blessed last Sunday, July 5th. We didn't really get any pictures from the lunch after the blessing (if you have any please send them my way) but Trey got one of me and Luce before we went to church. Lucy kind of whimpered through her blessing but it never broke into a full-on scream so I was thankful. Trey gave her a wonderful blessing. It was a really nice meeting. Thanks to all those who came, we had such a great turn out! It's so nice to have the support of so many of our family and friends. We love you guys!

Lucy's Aunty Jules made her dress and it turned out so darn cute. You can't really see it in this picture. I think I'll have to dress Lucy back up in it and take some pictures of just her so you can see the dress. I'm not into the frilly dresses so I had her make a simple linen dress for Lu. Thanks again Jules!

Hey guess what!

Lucy was born 6 weeks ago! Wow I'm a space case, I just barely got around to finishing up Lucy's birth announcement. Here it is...

Oh Sundays...

The girl was super smiley this past Sunday so we had a little photo shoot. She went to her first full block of church and did great! Yay Luce! Next step, getting her to sleep through the night. We've got her sleeping about 4-5 hours during the night. I think her tummy is still just too small that she needs to wake up at least once in the middle of the night to eat. I find it odd when I talk to other moms at church that tell me their kid slept through the night after one week! My other friend told me that after 3 weeks their kid would sleep 11-12 hours a night!!! That definitely does not sound normal, or does it??? Anyway, here are some cute pictures of our little Lucy Goosey.

Before we leave our dearest Logan we want to take pictures of all our favorite places and then make a big collage for us to take with us to Penn State. Sunday evening we went to a few of our favorite places, one being the place where Trey proposed. The Fraziers came with us and took a few shots of us on "our bench". It turned out pretty cute me thinks. I was holding Lucy but you can't really tell.

Oh Logan, how we will miss you!
