Month of Love & Crazy Snowstorms

Happy (late) Valentimes!!

Yay for the month of l'amore. Ahhh. Lu baby has learned lots of new things this month! She is now crawling and pulling her self up on all our furniture. Yikes! She's one fast little booger. She also grew another tooth which brings the grand total up to 5 now! I think she's trying to show her parents that she's a big girl and can eat big girl food like we do. She always eyes our food and smacks her lips and gives us the puppy dog eyes in hopes that we will share our delicious food with her. Poor girl. Trey looked at her dinner tonight and said that it looked like throw up...he was right. At least it didn't taste like it because she ate it.

In other news, as I'm sure you've all heard by now, we had some big snow storms plow their way through here. We didn't get pounded quite as hard as they did in DC or Baltimore, but we still got a hefty amount. It was quite comical to me to watch how everyone was freaking out about the snow. We had a "snow day" where everything was shut down, and schools and church services were canceled. It was kinda fun. The last snow day I remember was my sophomore year at Utah State. Me and my roommates stayed in our pajamas all day and watched movies. It was good fun. My studious husband locked himself in the back room all day with his books and netbook so me and Luce just hung out and I made homemade Oreo cookies. Mmmm.

Here is a pic showing just how much snow there was, and this was taken in the morning and it snowed all day. So yeah, a decent amount I would say.

Robin came out for a visit over the V-day & President's Day weekend. Luce had lots of fun playing with Grandma. We had so much good food & fun thanks to Robin.

Hey, watch your hand Luce!

We had a bunch of friends over for dinner one night. Here are 3 of Lucy's lovely aunties. Luce loves it when the ladies come over to play.

Here are some pics of the Luce in her crib being a silly...

Peekaboo!

She loves her taggie! Yay, mom gets 5 points!
This is her favorite place to be. She stands at the coffee table almost all day long. The first thing she does in the morning once I lay her down on the floor is speed-crawl over to the coffee table and pull herself up. She's getting quite good at it. Still a little wobbly though. Poor Luce, that learning to stand & balance stuff is bumpy business. Luckily she's figuring out how to fall on her tush now so she doesn't bump her head as much.
Oh what else to say about this little monkey. There are too many funny things. She is our little vacuum cleaner. She must have eagle eyes like her dad because she will find the tiniest speck on the floor and play with it. She is a little chatterbox. She has so many funny facial expressions these days. She's quite a character. Luce loves to sing. Whenever we sing in church she'll always join in. At home, Trey or I will hold one note and she will usually join in and try to match our pitch. I was listening to an Andrea Bocelli song and Luce joined right in. I just love being little Lucy Kay's mom. You never know what cute/silly thing she's going to do next.
Speaking of love, don't you just LOVE LOVE LOVE the Olympics?! We are obsessed with them at the Banbury household. I think my favorite Olympic moment was watching Shawn White tear it up on the halfpipe. He is amazing! I could not believe how much air he was getting. It was unreal. Trey & I are also enjoying curling (yes, totally serious). It's kind of similar to shuffle board, which is super fun. I'll be so sad when the games are over.

Looks like Lucy is getting plenty of LOVE and attention. She is probably fascinated with the domino table top. What a cutie!

Oh Lucy is so cute!!! I wanna kiss her. I'm glad to hear you guys survived the snow. I was worried you may have gotten buried. We are loving the Olympics too. Mike says the curling is very relaxing to watch :)

Wow, she'll be walking in no time! We have been able to watch a bit of the Olympics as well and have thoroughly enjoyed it. We watched curling for about an hour, but never really caught on to what the rules are...
