My first sock monkey

I finished one of my crafts that I had on my list.  Wahoo!  3 down, 5 to go.
I was so stoked when I found such a happy-colored pair of socks.  I used this tutorial if any of you would like to give it a go.

Ha ha, I just realized how long I left the arms.  Whoopsies. :)  Well I guess they are pretty true to size since monkeys have freakishly long arms.

Ahh...don't you just love the feeling of finishing a project?  I think that's why I love to start them because when I actually finish one, the feeling of accomplishment is so sweet.  I started this little guy a while ago so I'm happy I finally got around to finish it.

Oooh, I want to make one! And I love the long arms, all the better for flinging it up in a tree. Cuz that's what I did with my sock monkey. :)

Love the monkey and love you. What a talented daughter! "Happy 11-month birthday" to Lucy. Does she get to play with your project?
