Where I'm at...

I can't quite believe it but it feels really good to say...
I am officially full term now! 37 weeks baby!
The way my arms are positioned kind of hides the pokey-outiness of my belly right now. She is just my basketball baby, sticking straight out front. I'm reeeeally surprised that my back doesn't hurt more than it does because all the weight it out front.
At my last doctor's appointment, the first thing he said was "The baby is sitting really low...but I guess I don't really need to tell you that." Haha, yeah that's for sure. I could tell she dropped at about 35 weeks because that's when things started to get uncomfortable. I have been blessed with a pretty darn comfortable pregnancy but once I hit 35 weeks it all caught up to me. I've been super achy, especially under my belly. I'm sure my ligaments are dying right now. Because she dropped, I'm definitely waddling a lot more now. I've felt a lot more braxton hicks with this pregnancy and lots of pressure. Baby girl is head down (yay!) and moving all over the place. Lucy loves to watch "the baby belly" move. The itchiness has also kicked itself up a notch. And I'm pretty sure my belly skin can't stretch much more than it already has. It's so tight right now.
I got some good news at my last appointment. This may be tmi but my awesome doctor said that I'm already 50% percent effaced and dialated to a 1+!! That was a week and a half ago so I'm hoping that I've made more progress by my next appointment (Thursday). It sure feels like it. Doctor R also said he would be really surprised if I made it to my due date by the way things are looking. Eeek! So excited! I hope I didn't just jinx myself by saying that. :)
There are 4 other ladies that live by me and we're all due within a month and a half of each other. A few days ago our other neighbor took some pictures of us with our big bellies. Here is one I stole from my friend Tamara's facebook...
We're standing in the order we're due. Jane (in pink) due May 9, I'm due May 26, then Tia is due June 2, Tamara is due June 13, and Andrea is due June 26. There must be something in the water here! I love these ladies. It's been really fun talking about our pregnancies, the good, the bad, and the ugly. It's so exciting that we're all so close to the end. Everyone, except for Tamara, is having girls. Fun fun! We're still waiting for Jane to get this party started. It will be interesting to see if we all go in order or if we all end up in the hospital at the same time! Ha! Penn State Hershey Med Center only has 5 delivery rooms so that would definitely make things interesting. I love knowing that our hospital is right across the street. One of the perks of being a med student's wife I guess. I guess if I'm feeling good enough I could just walk over. We joke about having our husbands pull us in one of the kid wagons we have out on the playground to the hospital when we're in labor. That would be a pretty hilarious site to see.
So yeah, that's where I'm at as of today. It will be fun to see what the next few weeks bring about. Sometimes I feel like I'm totally ready and then other times I'm like wait, this is happening too quick!
Well, I'm off to go enjoy getting a good night's sleep while I still can. :)

You are still just as cute as ever! I hear ya on the itchy and achey part of pregnancy. I go to the doctor tomorrow to find out if I'm dilated at all too! Hopefully we both have good news!
