TREY

1.Where did you meet your husband? At the old Merrill Library computer lab, may it rest in peace.
2. How long did you date before you got married? 9 months
3. How long have you been married? 2 years + 3 months
4. What does he do that surprises you? I love that he can pick out a bunch of random clothes that I think totally don't match and he puts them on and somehow it goes. He has his own style and I love it.
5. What is your favorite feature of his? Ha ha, I'm not gonna lie, I love his cute toosh! That's one of the things that attracted me to him...he just looked so dang hot in these pants he was wearing. We always refer to them as "the pants". I will never let him get rid of them. I also love his long curly locks.
6. What is his best quality? He can make friends with ANYONE. He also has a great sense of humor.
7. Does he have a nickname for you? Meesh, Boo, Shmelly(his favorite lately), Michelly Boo
8. What is his favorite food? Bacon & chili cheese fries (separately, although I'm sure he's thought about mixing them together)
9. What is his favorite sport? Football, hands down. He does enjoy playing a good game of racquetball also.
10. When and where did you first kiss? In his room at Cambridge Court...I was a little surprised to say the least, it was pretty funny.
11. What is your favorite thing to do as a couple? Finding random treasures at the thrift store & Ross. We are like 2 little kids when we are together, so really, anything is fun with Trey. We get really silly when we're together, too bad no one else will ever see that side of us but us...and probably our kids someday.
12. Do you have any children? Yes, his name is Trey.
13. Does he have any hidden talents? He's got some awesome dance moves, but he usually only shows them to me. Sometimes he'll bust out a sweet move when he's around his family too. He can also shake his eyes back and worth really fast...kinda creepy. He also loves photography and has taken some great shots, especially of scenery and buildings.
14. How old is he? 24
15. Who said 'I love you' first? Trey
16. What is his favorite music? My man loves a good Stevie Wonder track, namely 'Sir Duke'. He loves the indie rock and some folksie stuff like the Decemberists. He is lover of music.
17. What do you admire most about him? His ability to read me, I swear he knows me better than I do. He always knows when something is up or if I just need a hug. And he can ALWAYS make me laugh. I also admire his optimism.
18. What is his favorite color? Blue
19. Will he read this? Yesh
20. Who will I tag next? Hmm who to tag...I'm totally tagging all of my sister-in-laws!

"I love to laugh...hahahaha!"

Nice title huh, very Mary Poppins-ish of me.

I thought I would share this video that has been circulating around my office the past few days. Gotta love forwards! I seriously do. It's a nice break from all the boring work emails.

Anyway, this one is pretty good. And it's not so much the model falling down that made me literally laugh out loud at my desk but it's the news anchors laughing their butts off. I think one of the best things in this world is a contagious laugh. The guy with the wheezy laugh is the best.

Speaking of contagious laughs, has anyone ever listened to Glenn Beck's radio show? Oh my gosh I love his laugh, it totally cracks me up. He's a pretty witty guy too.

Laughter seems to cure everything, doesn't it? I read over Elder Wirthlin's talk the other night about making the best of your trials and learning to laugh when situations go bad and I just thought, gosh that is so true! I think that is some of the best advice. If you can learn to laugh instead of get mad at things that you have no control over, you will be so much better off. I love this question he posed:

"Have you had an encounter with an overhanging cupboard door left open at the wrong place and the wrong time which has been cursed, condemned, and avenged by a sore-headed victim?" I remember him saying this during conference and laughing and thinking to myself YES! That is totally me! I'm always bumping my head or stubbing my toe on things around the house and I find myself cursing the thing that I ran into when really I should be laughing at myself for not paying attention. It's hard to laugh when you're in pain though, right?

Anyway, enough of my ramblings for now.

Halloweeny!

I have been such a slacker with my blog lately, sorry everyone! This month hasn't been too eventful so you really haven't missed out on anything. Here are some pics of us carving pumpakins with some of our friendlies...

I'm very scary with knives..."you've got that crazy look in your eye!"
Jeb was so funny, he loved chewing on pieces of pumpkin! Gross!
I like the look on Zach's face, he looks like a giddy little school boy.

Callie with all the finished pumpkins minus Trey's (he was so excited he put his out on the porch).

Here's my little dude, I decided to do a goofy face this year.

And here they are all lit up! I think they look like a happy little family. Trey's skull turned out pretty awesome, don't ya think?

Whoever thought of this and took the time to set this up is a genius! I love it! I especialy love the goofy ruthless-toothless look on the mooner's face.

Happy Friday!

I'll have a husband again!

I did it! I've survived my 3 days of being the lonesome dove. And I didn't even freak myself out like I usually do when I'm home late at night by myself! I'm picking Trey up at the airport tonight. It's been nice to have a little "me" time but I'm ready for my hubbs to come home. It's much more fun when he's around. :)
I watched the cutest girly movie last night, Penelope. If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it. Your husband might even like it too. The story has a great moral to it...and James McAvoy isn't too bad to look at either.
Trey said his interview went really well. He loves the campus and the people and the way they have their curriculum set up. He ran into his friend that got into Iowa for the 2008-09 school year and he loves it there. Him and his wife love the area they live in and their ward is awesome. I really would love it he got in there. It would be so fun to live so close to Phil & Nicole and the kiddies! That's my bro and his fam for those of you who don't know. Hopefully we'll hear back from U of I soon!
