I noticed I haven't posted anything in a while so I thought I might mention a funny experience I had last week. So for those of you who don't know, I work at Icon Health & Fitness in the Light Exercise department. It's basically me and the product line manager that make up our department which means a lot of responsibilities fall on both of us. People always ask me what I do and it's hard to explain because I do tons of random stuff. My official title is "Light Exercise Release Coordinator", I guess that is my main job, getting all the information and documents needed and releasing our products to China. We carry sooo many products, ranging from mini stepper machines to dumbbells to weight plate racks to yoga mats to sauna suits, which are my favorite product by far! They look like garbage bags, not kidding! The things people do to lose weight...silly silly. That is my job in a nutshell in case anyone was wondering...anyway, on with the story.
I got the opportunity to go to a photo shoot last week for some products we are doing for Sears. So early last Tuesday morning I met Tonya and Ana C, 2 girls that work in the marketing department, and we drove down to SLC. We had to pick up the model at the airport. He was flying in from Vegas. We were a little ahead of schedule so we stopped at the Mrs. Cavannahs factory and got some yummy chocolates on the way to the airport...what a great way to start out the day. I highly recommend it! We met up with Tony(the model) at the airport. He was a nice guy, it was definitely his first time in Utah.
We got to the studio and I met Grant, the photographer, and his wife and daughter. They are the funniest and nicest people. Grant is an excellent photographer. I was in there looking at some of his work hanging all over the walls and I came upon a bunch of pictures of Larry King and his family! This guy is legit...too legit to quit. Yeah that's right. I just had a great time hanging out and giving my opinions on which poses I liked and chit chatting with everyone. The make-up girl brought in her dog, Buddha, and man was that thing ugly. But it was so ugly it was kind of cute. It had a smushed face so it sounded like it couldn't breathe but it really just didn't have any airway because of his smushed nose. He was fun to play with.
As we were talking to Tony, someone asked him what he does besides model. He was like "I'm a trainer and I dance," so natuarally I thought he must be in a Circ De Solei show or something. Then Grant's wife was like "So are you in a show?" and he was like "Yeah, I'm a stripper." Ha ha ha, yeah! Funny huh. I just smiled but I was totally laughing on the inside. Everyone kept making jokes about it all day after we found out, it was pretty funny and he was a good sport about it. He told us that he was in the show at the Stratosphere and the name of their group is...you guessed it, American Storm. He has an identical twin, which looks nothing like him by the way, and he also is in the show. At the end of the shoot, we were saying goodbye to everyone and we were talking to Tony and he handed me a ticket to his show and was like "If you're ever in town, come stop by and see us!" with a grin. I was like "Yeah, I'm sure my husband would love it!" Here is a picture of what was on the ticket...

Apparently he was on some reality show also called "StripSearch" on VH1. It was an interesting experience but fun. Definitely my first time meeting an exotic dancer. Oh if you're wondering which one is Tony he is the bald guy in the front in green army pants and his identical twin is on the far left in plaid shorts...yeah they don't look like twins at all. I brought the ticket home to show Trey because I know he would get a kick out of it...and he did. We had a good laugh about it. What a random day!! Good times, good times...
