1/3

Luce is officially 4 months old now! How did that happen? She is getting so big...well not so much wide as long! She had her 4 month well child check-up last week and she's now 24 inches long and 13 lbs. She's a tough little kiddo, she had 3 shots (the nurse definitely took her time giving them) and she only cried for a second after each one and then was just fine. I was so proud of her. If she could have sugar, her performance definitely would have earned her a lollipop or a Fractured Prune donut! ;)

To celebrate her being 1/3 of a year old, we decided to give her her first taste of rice cereal. Trey thought we should make her some rice cereal cupcakes, but they probably would have turned out to be a mushy mess. It didn't seem like much actually made it in her mouth, but apparently it did because after we finished feeding her she threw it all up. :) We'll try it again in a few weeks.
Here is the little munchkin chowing down.

Yummers!

It's so fun watching Luce discover the world around her. She had a fun first last week, she rolled over! YAY LUCE! She rolled from her back to her belly. She's getting pretty good at it now. Check out the vid from yesterday...just in case you didn't believe me.

Here is a little bit more about 4-month-old Lucy that you may not know:

**She can shove her whole fist in her mouth!

**She is quite the little nuzzler.

**She is growing more hair!! Yay! I can't wait until I can style it. Oh and speaking of hair, she LOVES to pull ours. She's got a strong grip so it's a bit of work trying to pry it out of her hands.

**She reaches for objects and of course they go right into her mouth. She must use her tongue to feel things and test consistency and texture because she licks EVERYTHING.

**She is in love with this funny little show we discovered on Netflix called Pocoyo. It's pretty cute, Trey & I find ourselves quoting it during the day. Whenever she watches it, it's like nothing else in the world exists. She is mesmerized!

**Her latest trick is grabbing her left big toe with her left hand, as shown below. Oh and we love these baby leg warmers! Luce was flash dancin' it up.

**Our skinny girl has a cute Buddha belly and several chins! She's finally getting a little meat on them bones! She also likes to sit up (with support).

**Her favorite spot in the house is still the bathroom. I don't know what it is about that room but she is always happy to be there. Maybe it's the lighting?

**She's such a wiggly worm, especially when I'm trying to change her diaper. Check out this awesome move, it looks like she's break dancing.

**We're figuring out how to make her laugh really hard, it's so freakin adorable. Trey snorts and gives her kisses on her neck and she loves that, we'll try to get it on video sometime. I give her Eskimo kisses and that gets some pretty good giggles too.

**She loves to make noises! It makes me laugh. She's starting to pronounce M's and she's said mama a few times but I'm pretty sure she doesn't know that's a word yet. All in due time.

**This girl has got strong legs. We wouldn't be surprised if she skipped the crawling and went straight to walking. She'll stand up with no support at all, we just have to hold on to her because she's still pretty wobbly.

**She still sleeps like a champ, about 10-11 hours a night. Yeah, all the moms around here are super jealous.

**She loves looking at and talking to herself in the mirror.
**She still hearts the Jumparoo.

We call this her bird face, she loves sucking on that lower lip.

**She is a pretty happy baby but can be so serious sometimes, mainly around big groups of people she doesn't know and when a camera is put in front of her face, as you can see by most of her photos. Ha ha, it makes me laugh.

**She loves her monkey and REALLY loves to give him hugs and bite his nose. Here she is going after his nose...
Best buddies

**She still has those pretty blues. We had a little fun with Photoshop on this one.

It's such a treat getting to know my little Lucy more and more every day. I just love this girl to pieces and enjoy being her mother so much! She melts my heart.
Happy 1/3 Birthday Lucy girl! We love you mucho!

Happy 1/3 Lucy! Love all the cute photos, especially the "bird face". Now she's rolling over, don't leave her alone in the bathroom. Good girl, Lucy, getting all those shots. Grandma had her flu shot yesterday.
