We had a very relaxed birthday for Lucy this year. Trey had to work late so we didn't get to celebrate much with him. Luckily my mum was here so it made Lucy feel spesh that Grandma Marsha could be here for her birthday. We made pancakes (her fave) and she got a special one shaped like a 3. She also had blueberries and strawberries on the side (her other faves).
The only thing she asked for a yellow cake with blue frosting and pink sprinkles and 3 candles on top. Done and done! Thank goodness she's so easy to please this year. I let her put the candles on herself and she did the sprinkles too. She loves to help her mama bake and make things pretty.
A little clip of our awesome singing to Lucy.
It took her awhile but she figured out how to hold up 3 fingers.
Here she is playing with some of her presents...
And this is what Ruby did to celebrate. She put a bow in her hair and then slept. A lot. She's such a party animal. :)
Lucy is a great big sissy. She loves her Ruby but doesn't maul her. She loves to help put her binky in when Ru is upset and she loves to hold her and rub her fuzzy head. Luce also thinks it's fun to give her eskimo kisses. She also really good at helping with Ruby's baths. I'm excited to see them interact more as Ru gets older. I'm pretty sure Lucy will be like Ruby's 2nd mom.
I can't quite believe it's been 3 years since Luce has entered our lives. And I can't quite remember life without her. I have so much love in my heart for this little lady. She melts me with those beautiful blue eyes of hers. She is our little sassy pants and that's one of the many things I love about her. She brings so much joy and spunk to our little fam.
Love you Lucy!!! Happy 3!

She's 3? Crazy how time flies! Look at your little family growing. Just read your post about Ruby's birth...1. You looked adorable pregnant, all tummy- not fair! 2. way to go natural! I say you got to try it once just to see what amazing things your body can do on it's own! 3. My cousin is moving to your town for medical school! Look for Paul McAllister and his wife Marianne and their sweet little guy Graham.
When I saw that picture of Lucy's blue birthday cake I totally wanted some! I kind of have the munchies for something sweet right now. I love the picture of her holding up her 3 fingers. Finn's still trying to get the hang of holding up 2 fingers and looks like the space dudes that hold up the "we come in peace" sign.
By the way... I loved how you had decorated your place when we came and visited!
Happy birthday sweet Luce!!
