The monster cake turned out just the way I envisioned it. Here is a shot before I put the eyeballs on. I'm sad I didn't take another one but I think I got one on my phone.
Here is the extent of the décor. Lucy is pretty easy to please. She said she wanted a hairy red monster cake, a sign, and some balloons. Badabing!
As kids were arriving we had them make their own monsters.
They played "Kid, Kid, Monster!" (very similar to Duck, Duck, Goose)Then they had a nature scavenger hunt. And then it was cake time! I really wasn't on the ball with my picture taking (nothing new there :)) but you can see the inside of the cake was rainbow. I love the way it turned out. The kids were oohing and awing over it.
Katelyn, Lu, Mariam, and Reka. Apparently they take their cake eating pretty seriously.
My 4-year-old Lucy!!! I can't believe she's so old! When we moved here she was only about 8 weeks old. Time sure flies.
The opening of the presents.
And Daddy hooked up the old rocket launcher. This was a big hit with the kiddos.
The end.
Happy 4th Birthday Lucy Goosey!
She still insists that her middle name is not Kay, but Goosey. Silly lady!
