Sayonara Anatomy!
We finally found a crib on craigslist for Luce and it's fab! I'm a big fan of craigslist out here. Most people have like one or two kids tops and then they sell all their baby stuff (that is practically new) for cheap. Garage sales here are awesome for that same reason. I was super excited to finally use her cute bedding that I heart. Here are a few pics, you can see the sweet brick walls we have in our apartment.
Lucy was being a little goof ball, I think she was super jazzed that she actually has a bed to sleep in(we had her in her pack and play). This girl is getting to be more and more crazy fun everyday, I'm loving it!
As most of you with husbands know, we're right in the thick of football season so every Saturday Lucy dresses up in this to cheer on our Penn State Nittany Lions. I found it at a thrift store for 50 cents! Can't beat that.
We really haven't been up to much lately, Anatomy has been occupying most of Trey's time the past while. And as for me, well, being a mom is what I do. Hence why there are so many pictures of Lucy. That's what I do all day, hang out with the munchkin. I wouldn't have it any other way.
With that being said, here are some more pictures of Luce being her funny little self. I seriously can't believe how big she is getting, she'll be 5 months old tomorrow!
With all that drool she's got to be popping a tooth sometime soon...right?
Aunty Klean, T-bone, and Draper: you'll be happy to know that her pink giraffe is her favorite toy these days. She loves to give her big slobbery kisses.

Playtime!
My 2 favoritest humans.
This girl loves playing with her daddy. I think we might have a daddy's girl on our hands.
P.S. Aren't baby giggles the best? They melt my heart. They are my reward for a long days work. I LOVE my job. :)

Weekend Getaway

The Niehoff's house was amazing! When we arrived they had dinner waiting for us, which entailed Maryland Blue Crab! Yay! Trey & I had never "picked crabs" before. It was quite a fun process, totally messy, but a good time for sure. My favorite part was mashing the hard outer shell with a mallet. I'm definitely a fan. The crab was super tasty...almost sweet. And they had the most delicious food to go with the crabs: chicken, burgers, corn, beans, salad, crab balls, coleslaw, and the yummiest desserts too. We ate like queens and kings.
Here we are, picking away...

They just piled the crabs up in the middle of the table and said "go to town!"

Here's the whole group, who Trey lovingly has nicknamed "The Crew". Not everyone in "the crew" was present but this is a good chunk of them.

Oh and Kate's mom was a hoot. She just loved Lucy to pieces. Here they are hangin' out while everyone was picking crabs. It was a little chilly so we had Lucy all bundled.
After dinner they made a bonfire in their backyard and everyone roasted marshies and chit chatted. Here is the Penn State Class of 2013, woot woot!

We then played games and talked til the wee hours of the night. We had such a great time! Here we are eating the smorgasbord of breakfast food, including banana, blueberry, and chocolate chip pancakes! Mmm..

1/3
To celebrate her being 1/3 of a year old, we decided to give her her first taste of rice cereal. Trey thought we should make her some rice cereal cupcakes, but they probably would have turned out to be a mushy mess. It didn't seem like much actually made it in her mouth, but apparently it did because after we finished feeding her she threw it all up. :) We'll try it again in a few weeks.
Yummers!
It's so fun watching Luce discover the world around her. She had a fun first last week, she rolled over! YAY LUCE! She rolled from her back to her belly. She's getting pretty good at it now. Check out the vid from yesterday...just in case you didn't believe me.
Here is a little bit more about 4-month-old Lucy that you may not know:
**She can shove her whole fist in her mouth!
**She is quite the little nuzzler.
**She is growing more hair!! Yay! I can't wait until I can style it. Oh and speaking of hair, she LOVES to pull ours. She's got a strong grip so it's a bit of work trying to pry it out of her hands.
**She reaches for objects and of course they go right into her mouth. She must use her tongue to feel things and test consistency and texture because she licks EVERYTHING.
**She is in love with this funny little show we discovered on Netflix called Pocoyo. It's pretty cute, Trey & I find ourselves quoting it during the day. Whenever she watches it, it's like nothing else in the world exists. She is mesmerized!

**Her latest trick is grabbing her left big toe with her left hand, as shown below. Oh and we love these baby leg warmers! Luce was flash dancin' it up.
**Her favorite spot in the house is still the bathroom. I don't know what it is about that room but she is always happy to be there. Maybe it's the lighting?
**She's such a wiggly worm, especially when I'm trying to change her diaper. Check out this awesome move, it looks like she's break dancing.
**She loves to make noises! It makes me laugh. She's starting to pronounce M's and she's said mama a few times but I'm pretty sure she doesn't know that's a word yet. All in due time.
**This girl has got strong legs. We wouldn't be surprised if she skipped the crawling and went straight to walking. She'll stand up with no support at all, we just have to hold on to her because she's still pretty wobbly.
**She still sleeps like a champ, about 10-11 hours a night. Yeah, all the moms around here are super jealous.
**She loves looking at and talking to herself in the mirror.

Isn't it about...time?
Here are some pics...
Our neighbors let us borrow their jumparoo (thanks Hulls!) and she LOVES it. She can definitely get some air.
