Baby Projects

This is my project I did over the weekend, and it was jolly good fun!

I took some boring brown rocker/glider cushions...

...bought some cute fabric at Joanns that matched the adorable baby bedding (oh how I love living across the street from Joanns)...

...solicited some help from an expert seamstress, Traci...

...and VOILA!!!

Brand spankin' new (looking) rockin' rocker/glider!!! Woot woot!

Here is a pic of the quilt so you can see how it looks with the bedding. I am in LOVE with the bedding. The best part is that it can easily be used for a boy or a girl. I'm all for that!

This is one of my many projects I plan to undertake before the baby comes. I can't believe I only have 2 months left...which means there isn't much time! I made a list of all the fun things I want to do so hopefully that will help motivate me to actually finish all of them. I figure if I do one a week I think I'll be good. I'll keep you updated on my progress. :)
It feels good to check this one off my list. I couldn't have done it without my Traci. Thanks again dearest! Someday I will learn how to be an expert seamstress like yourself.

Looks great. There is no better feeling than taking something ugly and making it beautiful!

That looks really cute Michelle! I love that you are really entering that "nesting" stage. It won't be long and you'll be rockin' your babes on that chair!

I don't remember that being pregnant brought out any talents in me. Oh yes, I did knit a little green sweater when I was expecting Eric. You should post photos of those cute pictures you painted for the nursery.

Very impressive! I love the monkey bedding, that's so cute! Where did you get that? Geez, I just sat around, ate, and read the Twilight series when I was pregnant.
