Christmas Eve & Marnin'

Lucy was our angel/shepherd girl/wise lady this year. This girl loves her "blankies" so it wasn't hard at all to get her to comply with the costume. We have a little Linus on our hands.
I played Mary and Lucy's doll was our baby Jesus.
And Trey was our Joseph and the narrator. I'm happy we started out the night with the nativity because we were able to focus on the reason we celebrate Christmas, our Savior Jesus Christ.

Group shot take 1...oops, cut off Trey's head and we've lost Lucy!
Take 2, mucho better!
After the nativity, we let Lucy open her jama jams. When she opened up the present she pointed at the reindeer and said "cow!" Haha! My favorite feature of her jams is reindeer on her feet. She loves them too. She likes to make them dance.
After that it was getting close to Lucy's bedtime so we decided to move to our last planned activity, driving around and looking at Christmas lights. This is a tradition that Trey's fam used to do and so we thought it would be fun to start doing it too. Every year we're going to drive around until we can find our favorite house and this was our 2010 winner!
That one won with flying colors! We decided to end on a high note and head back to the homestead.
When we got home Luce went right to bed and we watched some Christmas Vacation and had a good laugh and finished wrapping a few gifts. And don't forget a little hot chocolate goodness to top it off.
That night, Santa came!! Woohoo!
Lucy woke up at 8:30am (thank you blessed child!). I'm pretty sure Trey and I were more excited about her opening presents than she was. After she opened 2 she was done opening presents, she just wanted to play with what she got. She has been loving all her toys over the past week.
Amongst all the Christmas morning craziness, we didn't snap a lot of pictures but here are two of the monkey in her owl hat and gloves.
My parents joined us in the afternoon. Here is a cute little video of Lucy and Gpa Brenchley playing with one of her new toys. It's hard to tell who was having more fun! :)
I told my dad I knew what we were getting him for his birthday this year and he said it would only be fun if a Lucy came with it. :) Here are a few more cute shots of her playing with Gpa.
We enjoyed being together, good food, games, movies, skyping with fam, etc. Lucy loved having Grandma & Grandpa Brenchley over. They were her little buddies. It was so fun having family out here to spend part of the holidays with. Thanks to everyone for the gifts, treats, and Christmas cards you sent! We sure think you're great! xoxo
