let us pause for a moment

Before I continue with my Utah trip pics, I have 2 things to say.
First, I chopped my hair!  Check out the pile that was on the floor after it was all done.  You would think I was bald!  We could have made a wig out of it, no joke.
It's so fun having short hair again, I love it!  I kinda forgot how to do it though so it's been interesting experimenting on it.  What kind of products do you shorter-haired people use?
Second, Trey & I have been married for 5 years!!!  Our anniversary was on August 8th.  We went to Harry Potter for the first half of our celebration and for the second, Trey planned a night out on the town...well more like a boat!  On Friday we'll be going on a romantic dinner cruise on the Susquehanna.  He planned it all while I was gone.  How sweet is that!  And he gave me some moneys to go buy a hot dress, heels, and some jewels to get all schnazzied up.  Husband of the year award right there!  I'm so excited.
I wanted to make Trey something special for our big #5 so this is what I came up with...
There is an etsy shop that has a bunch of these cross-stitched pixel people and I thought it would be fun to make a little Trey & Meesh with clothes that we wear.  It was my little project I took with me to Utah so I could make it secretly without Trey finding out.  He always sniffs out surprises so I was happy to completely surprise him on this one.

Okay, that's all I have to say for now.  So is anyone still reading our blog?  No one has commented in quite a while so I'm just curious...

Once again, Loving the hair! And I love the gifts you guys gave each other. They are all very thoughtful. The cross stitch Trey and Meesh is perfectly accurate! I may have to make one for us...except we would fill the frame. heha.

checking in as a reader. I've noticed a sharp drop in comments on my blog as well. Of course, I have also been posting a lot less regularly as well.

Hair and cross-stitch look great. You'll have to show us pics of you and Trey all dolled up for your night out!

I still read your blog, I just suck at commenting. I wish we could have got together while you were here! I thought you were here longer. I love your hair short, and I will probably copy your cross-stitch. That's dang cute and I've never seen that before.

Super cute hair. It makes me want to cut mine shorter! We'd better stop inspiring each other, or it might end in tears....and baldness. :)
