Pinspired

I, like so many of you, am in love with Pinterest. There are so many good ideas on there, DIY projects, and tons of delicious looking food! I usually end up salivating as I'm perusing the site. I've tried a few recipes like the strawberry crepes (definitely a winner!) and have not been disappointed. If I ever find one that is to die for I will blog it for sure. I made a few things that I've been eyeing on Pinterest for a while...

The Braided Hex Nut Bracelet

...and this is how mine turned out. I decided to braid it all the way around rather than leave the strings separate. Kinda fun and funky fresh.

I wanted something with a little more color since I'm surrounded by white walls and 70s colored brick. :) Please don't mind our hideous carpet and the angle isn't the best because I was trying to avoid the flash showing up on the glass but you get the just of it. Our 2 homes, Logan, Utah, and Hershey, Pennsylvania. I can't help but think of the next state we'll get to add to the picture. It's kind of exciting! In a year in a half we'll see.

Jewelry Making

I've always wanted to try this so I used some birthday moneys to get some simple tools and beds and make baby bracelets. It is so fun and easy! I've made lots already. I guess baby girl and all my friends' baby girls will be set in the bracelet department. :)

Which brings me to my last project, which really wasn't "pinspired", I've just been wanting to do this for a year now and finally bought fabric and went for it.

"New" Couch Pillows

They make me happy just looking at them. I wish I would have taken pictures of the old pillows. Believe me, they went from drab to fab! The old pillows didn't even match and it drove me and my selective OCD nuts! We basically gutted the old ones and stuffed the new pillows with that stuffing. Yup, we're cool like that.

That's all for now in the project department...but believe me there's plenty more where that came from. I'm pretty sure my nesting is taking the form of crafting. I want to make all this stuff for the little bean before she arrives. And I think about it waaay to much. Like while I'm laying in bed trying to go to sleep. And then I get too excited and can't sleep because I've got all these ideas running through my brain. And then I wake up in the morning and usually forget everything that I was obsessing over the night before.  Ha ha, oh pregnancy.
